to Robin and Mark. The "salt marsh" is the Wading River salt marsh where he and we would often go to paddle.

a trip to the salt marsh this noon. But the most curious - not documented - was a pair of probably black ducks and a significantly smaller duck who insisted on flying together, circling the march, though that seemed to require constant tuning given that they were quite different ducks. Perhaps an interesting history.
